Overseas students who are enrolled in CRICOS courses are eligible to apply for subclass 500 visa. Tertiary students are required to show evidence of English, unless enrolled in a packaged course with English course element. It is critical for students to demonstrate that they are genuine temporary entrant, with intention to return to their home county upon completion of their study in Australia. Under current regulations, students seeking further study in Australia can only enrol in courses either at the same level as previous course, or higher level. Students must maintain satisfactory attendance records and achieve satisfactory academic progress.
